About the Journal

About the Journal

Sensors, Environment and Composite Materials is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing research and development in the field of sensors & biosensors based on composite materials for the safety of environmental and healthcare fields. The journal aims to promote original works that demonstrate significant progress beyond the current state of the art in these fields along with applicability to solve significant meaningful analytical, environmental, and biochemical problems.

The journal aims to publish works that are supported by experimental and theoretical results. The analytical performance in all analytical parameters needs to be reported and critically compared with the state of the art. Sensing applications based on catalysis of various nanoscale and composite materials will be considered only if they refer to analytically and bioanalytical challenging complex samples and are properly validated.

The scope of the journal encompasses, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Sensing concepts, Mechanisms and Applications
  • Detection principles
  • Development of devices
  • Self-assembled Monolayer
  • Fabrication technology
  • Metal oxides
  • Chip-based detection devices
  • Micro- and nanomotors
  • Composites
  • Photonic and bio-photonic sensors
  • Lab-on-a-chip
  • Polymers
  • Bioassays
  • Biochips and microarray systems
  • Sensor-array
  • Adsorption
  • Nanostructure materials
  • Chemometrics
  • Carbon materials
  • Environment
  • Catalysis
  • Ionic sensor
  • Immunoassay
  • Nanoparticles
  • Electrochemistry
  • pH sensor
  • Photo-catalysis
  • Corrosion
  • Electro-catalysis

Research articles and reviews on new materials, chemical components and fabrication technologies claimed to be relevant to chemical and biochemical sensing will be considered for publication only if an immediate application in that respect is presented or it presents in a novel concept or mechanism.
